Stop Cleaning With Chemicals Or Risk Jeopardizing The Very Life Of Every Member Of Your Household

Chemicals kill. There. I’ve said it. I can‘t be any more blunt than that. It’s their job. Cleaning chemicals are designed to kill germs and bacteria. That’s why we clean with them. But the killing doesn’t stop at the germs on your kitchen counter or the bacteria growing in your toilet or shower. They keep on doing their deathly job as they seep through your skin and into your lungs.

Chemicals aren’t picky. They can make death quick and painless or drag it out over years of agonizing suffering. Mix a little bleach with ammonia and you can die instantly. Breathe in 5 different kinds of oven, tile, toilet boil or floor cleaners every week for 20 years and you may contract chronic fatigue, headaches or breast cancer.

An article in East/West Magazine reported that a study in Oregon revealed stay at home moms are at 54% greater risk for breast cancer than their sisters who work outside the home. Exposure 24/7 to cleaning chemicals in their homes are sited as a likely cause.

If your employer exposed you to this kind of irresponsible, unsafe environment, you would sue them and you would win. Yet you will expose your own children to toxic chemical soup in their own bathroom.

Chemicals don’t age discriminate. They harm children as randomly as adults. Autism is on the rise – 150% increase in the last few decades. And in as many as 15% of cases, cleaning chemicals are the direct cause.

I fear for the people who don’t see this connection.

When we’re talking bleach, ammonia and lye, if you think just a little squirt of this and a small spray of that are not going to hurt anyone, think again. Bleach was originally invented as a biological weapon of war. It was designed to kill soldiers in WW1 and it goes on to kill people in unsuspecting occurrences every day.

Knowing this, would any parent spray down the baby’s high chair with bleach-based products while the little tyke is sitting in it?! Yet it happens every day.

I recently watched a mother perform a startling routine at a grocery store. She put her baby in the cart, set her purse next the baby, grabbed one of those pop-up disinfecting wipes from the dispenser by the door, swiped the cart handle with the wipe and handed the wipe to her baby. The baby immediately put the wipe in her mouth. I almost lost it!

She looked like a good mother who would never willingly pour bleach into a baby bottle and hand it to her child. Yet she just let her ingest a known carcinogen in the name of keeping her baby safe!

This does not have to be your legacy. A good quality steam cleaner can eliminate the germs you hate and eliminate the chemicals at the same time. Yes, the initial cost is higher than a few bottles of disinfectant but a steamer doesn’t cost nearly what is saves. And it’s not just money it saves. It saves lives.

People often tell me, “I can’t afford a steam cleaner.” but isn’t it more true that you can’t afford not to switch to steam? What’s the cost of continuing to use poisons and carcinogens instead of the power of water? Especially when steam can accomplish better germ-killing results and keep your loved ones safe from toxic soup.

Would you agree steaming instead of bleaching does a world of good for you, -your family – your world? By that I mean the endless cycle of consuming and disposing of all those concoction and their packaging is also killing our planet.

I’m just going to say it. It’s time we were honest, people. What we’re doing to ourselves in the name of sanitation is killing us. It’s about time to do something different.
